Royal Indian Restaurant - Van Nuys, CA

Best Indian Restaurant in the Valley so far!!!

The service was exceptional, the owner was very hospitable, but not over the top.

I had one of the lunchtime specials and loved it. The lunchtime menu has a great selection, the prices are good, starting from $5.95, and you get just the right amount of food. I'm now used to the lunchtime buffet that most Indian restaurants in LA put out so this was a pleasant change.

I tried the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi, I prefer my Indian food on the spicy side and they got it just right.

Overall this is a great neighborhood treasure, the tastes, service and value was just right.

Thanks for a great lunch :o)

Spumoni Restaurant - Sherman Oaks, CA

A great little neighborhood treasure. Just how an Italian restaurant should be. No tacky decor or Sinatra being blasted. Such a refreshing change to the countless Italian chain restaurants in LA.

The food was fresh, well prepared and tasty. What really sets this place out is the service. Our party of eight were looked after from the minute we walked in until the minute we left. The staff were warm and friendly, you actually felt like you where their guests. Just the way an Italian restaurant should feel.

I'm glad I was introduced to this place. I will definitely be stopping by again.

Great job.

Great India Cafe - Studio City, CA

Being from the UK I'm constantly searching for a good Indian Restaurant (The national dish is no longer Fish & Chips it's Chicken Tikka Masala and the Balti originates from Birmingham)!

I would have to say that this is one of the best Indian Restaurants in the whole of LA.  The food was fresh, complimentary onion bhajis, complimentary poppadoms, and great service.

The vegetarian dishes were just as good as the meat dishes.  I was there using a coupon but the value, taste and service was enough to come again and pay full price.

Bill the manager was an excellent host and informed us that they do free delivery in our area!!!

A great evening out.

Off Vine - Hollywood, CA

Off Vine has to be one of my favorite restaurants in LA.  The food is simply divine, the wait staff are attentive and don't have the usual Hollywood attitude.

A great place for a date and dinning alfresco.  On Mondays everything is Half Price making this place even more tempting.

The Infield - Sherman Oaks, CA

$2.50 Tuesdays!  The Infield in Sherman Oaks has some of the best hot dogs I've tasted in Southern California.  The menu is made up of dogs from around the country, many combos seem a little out there but once tried are delicious.  The spicy Italian is my current favorite, and for dessert the Twinkie dog has to be the one.

The owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about his dogs so if you are having trouble choosing from the extensive menu you have someone to guide you to the right one.

Red Rock Bar & Eatery - Hollywood, CA

This place is great for people watching during Happy Hour.  The food is nothing to write home about apart from the spicy chicken wings.

A strange mix of tourists and locals; you will always meet a character here.  The Guinness is probably close to the best on tap in Hollywood although it is never served correctly anywhere in LA!

Don't miss some of the great comedy nights upstairs.  Overall a great un-showy pace on the strip to relax and enjoy.

Patras Charbroiled Burgers - Glassell Park, CA

Fast food can be healthy.  The only reason to visit this fast food relic is to try Jamie Olives delicious Revolution Burgers and milkshakes.  $4.99 gets you a far superior burger than any of the chain fast food joins, it's also real fresh ingredients.

I'm not sure how long Jamies Revolution will be in place but while it is I'll be a loyal customer.  It's 15mins from Hollywood (my base) and well worth the drive.
